Winiveria – A Synthesis of Tradition and Modernity in Georgian Winemaking

The history of "Winiveria" began in 2005 when the company laid the foundation for a Qvevri cellar in the village of Vardisubani, Telavi district. The construction was completed in 2006, marking the first harvest. We produce wine in Qvevri using traditional Georgian technology. In 2008, the construction of one of the first chateaus in Georgia, "Chateau Mere," began nearby and was successfully completed in 2011. Today, Chateau Mere is one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in the Kakheti region. The growing popularity of Winiveria wines, both locally and internationally, led to the construction of a modern winery equipped with high-tech machinery. This allows us to offer a perfect synthesis of traditional Georgian winemaking and modern high-tech production. Since 2014, Winiveria has offered up to 15 different wine varieties. Some are crafted in Qvevri using traditional methods, while others follow the classical European technology. Along with wine, the company produces two types of Chacha: classic and oak-aged. Winiveria is known for its consistently high quality and unique packaging, featuring individually engraved bottles. The company's goal is to showcase the best of Georgian local grapes and enhance the reputation of Georgian wine globally. Currently, Winiveria wines are exported to countries like the USA, France, Belgium, Australia, China, and many more.
